Pre-Sales Consultant providing pre-sales technical support and demonstrations to the Sales team at Tech Data. Collaborating with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
Working with the company's Sales Team, the Presales Consultant is responsible for providing presales technical support to the Sales team and presenting tailored demonstrations or qualification discussions to customers and or prospects.
The Presales Consultant also assists the Sales Team with qualifying opportunities – in or out and helping expand existing opportunities through solid questioning.
The Presales Consultant will be responsible on conducting Technical Proof of Concept, Demonstration and Presentation on the supported products and solution.
Understand customer requirements, business objectives, and current network/security architectures to design appropriate solutions.
Provide technical training to customers, internal sales teams, and partners.
Respond to technical sections of RFPs/RFIs with accurate solution details.
Conduct product demos, whiteboard sessions, and technical presentations tailored to customer needs.
Support sales teams by providing deep technical expertise during customer engagements.
Coordinating and managing technical validation events (POC) Coordinating and managing POC assets Solely or partnering with other Pre-sales consultant to support PM setting regular BOM (Bill of Materials).
Participating in conferences, shows, exhibitions when appropriate and requested.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Hands‑on experience with Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, and Client Connector deployments.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust, Secure Web Gateway, SSE/SASE, and cloud security architectures.
Experience with firewalls, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and identity systems.
>2-5 Years of relevant work experience is required.
Associate Degree in IT related programs.
Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed.
Able to quickly learn/adapt to new systems and technology.
