About the role
- Associate Software Engineer collaborating with Back End Developers, QA Engineers, and Designers to develop web solutions. Focus on enhancing user experience and maintaining web standards while ensuring project effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Work in teams alongside Back End Developers, QA Engineers, Graphic Designers and User Experience Designers
- Help in reviewing product specifications in order to give development estimates and product feedback
- Work in an Agile environment
- Software creation, adhering to and feeding back into departmental standards and guidelines
- Technical documentation that shares knowledge effectively
- Ensure the alignment of web design and user experience requirements
- Optimize web pages for maximum efficiency and maintain brand consistency across all web pages
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders
Requirements
- Good understanding of the design, implementation, and consumption of REST API’s
- Understanding of browser-based technologies, especially browser DOMs, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
- Proficient in JavaScript
- Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of using ES6+
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries, such as React, TypeScript, jQuery
- Experience with popular ReactJS workflows (such as Redux)
- Understanding of the full development cycle and some experience of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
- Experience with content management systems
- An eye for visual precision and attention to detail
