About the role
- Assistant Project Manager supporting construction projects with a focus on safety and efficiency in Raleigh. Collaborating with a team to manage project scheduling, budgeting, and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and other personnel in managing, scheduling, and purchasing for various types of construction projects.
- Understand, support, and adhere to Harper safety requirements; observe and correct violations as they arise on project sites.
- Plan work and purchase materials with safety in mind.
- Assist Project Manager with daily project duties.
- Expedite material procurement, approval, and delivery as necessary to promote accurate and efficient project construction.
- Prepare and track all necessary submittals.
- Obtain the required material certifications.
- Assist Project Manager with material billing preparations.
- Order necessary materials and supplies.
- Maintain project files, current drawings, and production records.
- Assist the preparation and submittal of all documentation and records required for change orders.
- Assist in the analysis of cost for extra work.
- Approve receiving invoices.
- Optimize cash flow.
- Build and maintain positive subcontractor relationships.
- Identify, pursue, and recover fair compensation for all changes in scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, is required.
- At least three years of related experience is preferred.
