About the role
- Assistant Project Manager supporting project delivery for Amentum with a focus on Nuclear Support. Collaborating with project teams to meet budget and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team with Project Managers to provide support and assistance with all duties related to project delivery
- Support the production of project documentation such as Task Specific Worksheets, Project Execution Plans and Project Quality Plans
- Monitor and control tasks to ensure that they are delivered to budget and schedule
- With support from the Project Manager, manage your own portfolio of tasks and small projects
- With support from the Project Manager, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and document meeting minutes
- Support the Project Team with the production of Project Risk Registers by identifying and managing risks
- Contribute along with the Cost Engineer in the production of robust financial and task reporting
- Proactively interact and collaborate with members of the Programme Management Office
- Support the timely preparation of internal and external project reports
- Work in a safe and sustainable manner, adhering to the highest professionals standards and ‘doing the right thing’
- Support growth initiatives into related business opportunities
Requirements
- Working towards membership of a professional institution is desirable (APM)
- APM PFQ or equivalent
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of Budgeting and Cost Control
- Quality management
- Fluent in Microsoft Office
