Responsibilities
Designs and implements advanced statistical models utilising techniques such as regression, hypothesis testing and forecasting to find patterns and insights
Supports capability growth of self and others through coaching and/or management of a small team
Engage with a variety of stakeholders to understand business objectives
Propose and shape deep analytics and modelling projects
Collaborate with the local team to share ideas and listen to alternatives
Identify and source appropriate data, validating quality and suitability
Undertake data analysis or model development as required
Maintain effective comms with stakeholders throughout the project
Contribute to the continuous development of the team
Requirements
Strong technical background with expertise in large scale data mining and data manipulation (using SQL)
Practical experience using data modelling tools (such as Python, R, Vertex AI)
Experience with statistical modelling or machine learning techniques (such as logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, random forests, significance testing)
Experience with full lifecycle of analytics projects from scoping, build, deployment and management of statistical models
Strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mind
Good business understanding, particularly digital customer journeys and cross-channel interaction strategies
Excellent communication skills to inform decisions
Experience using the Group Data Warehouse (GDW) would be beneficial
Knowledge of GCP and BigQuery
Experience in an Agile environment
