Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses for significant areas of the business.
- Direct and guide the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Perform complex financial analyses, variance reviews, and prepare schedules for management, auditors, and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support broader business objectives.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, new policies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, supporting their development and growth.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage and analyze complex financial data.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to create and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions and influence decisions.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects or initiatives with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Typically requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related accounting experience; a master’s degree may substitute for some experience.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
