About the role
- Financial Accountant managing entire accounting from accounts payable to financial reporting. Engaging in exciting projects for process optimization in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the entire financial accounting of a branch — from accounts payable and accounts receivable to the general ledger and travel expense accounting.
- Ensure smooth payment processing and accurate bank postings.
- Actively participate in and execute monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and ensure account reconciliations.
- Prepare and support tax-related filings, in particular VAT returns.
- Take part in exciting projects to digitize and optimize accounting processes.
Requirements
- Practical experience: You have relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally with involvement in monthly or annual closings.
- HGB knowledge: Your knowledge of accounting under the German Commercial Code (HGB) is up to date and reliable.
- Language skills: A very good command of German (at least C1 level) is essential for internal and external communication.
- Digital affinity: You use MS Office confidently and are proficient with common accounting software.
- Ideally Navision: Experience with Microsoft Navision is a plus but not a strict requirement — willingness to learn counts!
- Personal qualities: You are a team-oriented and communicative person who stands out through personal responsibility, accuracy, and a structured way of working.
