About the role

  • Account Manager managing assigned benefits book at OneDigital. Handles renewals, client advisement, enrollments, and coordination with consultants for health and ancillary insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and maintains assigned book of business
  • Serves in an advisory capacity for clients; manages day to day client issues
  • Assists with communications, follow-up and distribution of applications to carriers
  • Collects missing information from groups and sends approval letters to clients
  • Works closely with Benefits Consultants, Senior Account Managers, and/or Client Executives to manage the entire renewal process
  • Completes and/or coordinates quotes and proposals for all new and renewal business
  • Updates census, policy information and commissions for all accounts and policies
  • Assists with renewals and new business applications
  • Conducts enrollment meetings as needed
  • Assists in growing the book of business through cross-sale opportunities
  • Builds relationships with clients through proactive communications
  • Communicates and educates clients on latest trends, concerns and changes in the industry
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and sense of urgency to ensure client expectations are consistently met; extensive contact with clients and internal consultants.

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in account management preferred
  • Prior experience in broker agency or benefit administration firm preferred
  • Current Life and Health license required
  • Thorough knowledge of health and ancillary products preferred
  • Good understanding of health and welfare regulations applicable to assigned book of business preferred
  • Familiarity and practical knowledge of quoting process and tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products required
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be very detail-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
