About the role
- Working Student & Admin Support for Financial Risk Governance managing financial data analysis and assisting with risk monitoring tools at Zurich.
Responsibilities
- Improve skills in market and credit risk management to gain superior insights (including implementation in Power BI).
- Support the team with market and credit risk reviews.
- Contribute to enhancing tools and methods for risk monitoring.
- Support the credit risk data quality framework: ensure data controls function correctly and data is managed cross-functionally, including Investment Management, Credit Insurance, Reinsurance and Treasury.
- Provide daily support for Zurich’s global counterparty risk management activities.
- Improve and maintain Zurich’s global credit default statistics.
- Provide proactive and efficient administrative support to the Head of Financial Risk Governance, including proactive calendar management (approximately 25%, depending on business needs).
Requirements
- Enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the position in a master’s program or close to completing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Quantitative Finance, Data Science or a related field.
- Passion for economics and investments.
- Solid understanding of financial products and financial reporting.
- Experience working with large datasets and market data.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Power BI, R or other programming languages is an advantage.
- Strong sense of ownership, high level of independence and a “can-do” attitude.
- Effective communicator with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
