About the role

  • Junior Finance Analyst supporting multi-functional finance departments at Bridgestone. Providing exposure and growth opportunities within a global organization.

Responsibilities

  • This role is designed to support multi-functional departments within Finance, providing exposure across the finance team.
  • Help to perform regular Accounts Receivable activities, i.e. invoicing, statements, direct debit processing, order release, accounts on stop etc.
  • Assessment of new customer applications and initiate account set up
  • Proactive cash collection, contacting customers primarily by telephone and email
  • Ensure customer account reconciliations are completed and accurate
  • Regular Reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts relating to rebate accruals.
  • Highlighting possible shortfalls/over accruals to senior management.
  • Management of the company’s rebate accruals and payments in SAP, ensuring compliance with policy, process and authority schedule.
  • Support the query controller in the resolution of Price Queries, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are taken.
  • Support Quarterly and Bi-Annual testing of JSOX controls
  • Provide necessary information and analysis required by external auditors to enable timely completion for consolidation and external reporting
  • Work with the Financial Controller and Senior Financial Accountant in supporting in the creation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecast.
  • Assist with completion of monthly rolling forecast
  • Assist in the creation of business cases to support the Business Operation function
  • Other ad Hoc reporting to stakeholders in the business in a timely manner, including Finance, Operations and the Leadership team

Requirements

  • Desired degree in Accounting/Finance or related subject (second year student)
  • Numerical skills with a determination for accuracy;
  • Analytical skills to interrogate data and identify patterns and trends;
  • Ability to present in depth data findings to various audiences drawing out key information
  • IT skills – experience with Microsoft 365 products, primarily Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint and ability to learn new systems.
