About the role
- Prompt Engineer optimizing AI prompts and applications for Zurich's Bot family. Collaborate with tech teams to enhance context strategies and model evaluations.
Responsibilities
- You develop, craft and optimize prompts for a wide range of business use cases, especially for our bot family and our AI agent
- You drive the design, implementation and further development of context and RAG strategies for production AI applications
- You integrate large language models into real systems — from technical connection and fine‑tuning to API integration
- You monitor the evaluation and optimization of model responses with respect to quality, consistency, safety and cost
- Finally, you work closely with software engineers, data scientists and product owners to advance end‑to‑end processes, testing and monitoring
Requirements
- Structured, independent working style, quality awareness, analytical thinking
- Degree in a technical or analytical field or equivalent qualification
- Expertise in large language models, prompt engineering, RAG architectures and LLMOps
- Strong Python skills and experience with relevant LLM frameworks and tools
- Experience in model evaluation, validation, monitoring and optimization
- Excellent German language skills, written and spoken (at least C1); English skills are a plus
