About the role
- Cloud Data Analyst leading data-centric IT product delivery focusing on cloud solutions. Collaborating with teams to ensure regulatory compliance and data quality.
Responsibilities
- Capture and analyze user requirements from legacy .NET/SQL platforms; translate into user stories and migration plans
- Design and document scalable data pipelines for cloud platforms (Databricks, Azure)
- Analyze, transform, and integrate complex data sources for business and regulatory needs
- Document data flows, business logic, and integration points for migration and knowledge transfer
- Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance; set standards for accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (risk modelers, data architects, developers)
- Facilitate agile ceremonies and support UAT/release planning
- Act as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders, driving platform consistency
Requirements
- Expert-level T-SQL for querying and performance tuning
- Experience with Azure or other cloud data solutions, such as AWS or similar platforms
- Strong experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and data transformation
- Experience with data pipelines/ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka, etc.)
- Proven ability to design and support data flows in cloud environments
- Ability to analyze legacy systems, run workshops, and drive migration
- Solid stakeholder management in a matrixed environment
- Track record with agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban)
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish) advantageous
- Experience coordinating UAT, releases, and performance/security validation
- Hands-on with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake (nice-to-have)
- Understanding of regulatory reporting and risk frameworks (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with insurance data, risk modeling, or exposure data (nice-to-have)
- Knowledge of Basel risk metrics, credit/risk exposure, or actuarial data (nice-to-have)
