About the role
- Data Analyst ensuring reliable business information for strategic decisions at Sem Parar. Handling diverse data sources and transforming them into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Map, structure, and process data from multiple sources, transforming them into analyses and dashboards that support the company's strategic and operational decisions.
- Map new data sources, identifying data flows, tables, and fields together with different areas and partners.
- Develop and prepare datasets in the Databricks environment, applying business rules and ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Build complex queries and ETL processes using SQL, Python and PySpark, automating routines and eliminating manual tasks.
- Create and evolve semantic models, reports and dashboards in Power BI (Power Query and DAX), supporting operational teams, executive leadership and headquarters.
- Perform ad hoc analyses and analytical studies to support strategic decisions across different company areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields.
- Previous experience in data analysis or a similar role.
- Proficiency with relational databases (SQL) and programming in Python/PySpark.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and M (Power Query) language.
- Experience with cloud environments, Databricks, ETL processes, programming logic and agile methodologies.
- Not required, but a strong plus:
- Experience mapping complex data and integrating multiple external sources.
- Experience with commercial/sales/channel data or commission structures.
- Experience preparing analyses for executive-level audiences (VP, President).
- Ability to act as a technical reference (Business Leader) within a data environment.
- Strong communication skills to translate data into actionable business insights.
