About the role
- Project Manager/ System Engineer developing mobile ground control stations at INFINTEQ GmbH. Responsible for technical design, integration, and collaboration across various teams for UAV systems.
Responsibilities
- System development and integration of the Ground Control Station (GCS) into vehicle or container platforms (transporters, trucks, shelters)
- Design and engineering of mechanical structures, mounts and cabin layouts with consideration of ergonomic and technical requirements
- Development and integration of the antenna mast system, including pointing/aiming, stability, power supply and communication interfaces
- Requirements engineering: elicitation, analysis and documentation of system requirements (vehicle, power, IT, antenna, environmental conditions)
- Coordination and technical alignment with suppliers such as vehicle, mast and electronic component vendors
- Support in the selection and integration of communication systems (data link, SatCom, LTE/5G)
- Participation in system tests, commissioning and field trials
- Preparation of design documentation, system architectures and technical documentation
- Close collaboration with avionics, IT, power supply and UAV system integration teams to ensure overall system functionality
Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronics, Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable discipline
- Interest in holistic systems — from mechanical design to IT infrastructure and signal engineering
- Experience in system integration, ideally in special-purpose vehicle construction or mobile infrastructure (e.g., container or vehicle installations)
- Proficiency in CAD design (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX) and ideally experience with electrical system assembly
- Understanding of communications and network technology (e.g., Ethernet, routers, switches, antenna technology)
- Knowledge of requirements engineering and supplier coordination
- Experience with technical documentation, wiring diagrams, cable management and system integration
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with an eye for the overall system
- Communication and coordination skills in German and English
- Enthusiasm for innovative UAV systems, mobile infrastructure and multidisciplinary collaboration
