Avionics Design Engineer developing electronic systems for the next generation of drone technology. Collaborating on avionics architecture design, integration, and testing processes within a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
Development and design of wiring harnesses in Altium Designer, including connector definition and signal routing
Analysis, design and documentation of avionics system architecture for current and future UAV platforms
Creation and maintenance of schematics, harness designs and system layouts
Close collaboration with mechanical, software and test teams to ensure holistic system integration
Mechanical integration of electronic assemblies, connectors and wiring harnesses, considering form, fit and function
Support during commissioning, troubleshooting and technical validation of avionics systems
Optional: involvement in PCB design and prototype manufacturing
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable field
Solid experience with Altium Designer (schematic and harness design)
Experience in system architecture and integration of electronic subsystems in aircraft or similar applications
Knowledge of PCB design and ECAD/MCAD interfaces is a plus
Technical understanding of the mechanical integration of electronic components
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with a strong quality focus
Strong communication skills in German and English and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
