About the role

  • Mechanical Engineer assisting in the development of Semiconductor Test Systems at Teradyne. Engaging in testing, design, and validation using SolidWorks in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in assembly and validation of Engineering prototypes
  • Executing lifecycle testing on equipment in the lab
  • Use SolidWorks to create parts, assemblies, drawings, and FEA simulations
  • Create assembly level BoMs and release these items on ECNs
  • Participate in team meetings, and present quantitative and qualitative findings in an organized and professional manner
  • Assisting with thermal testing and simulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks part creation, drawings, and large assemblies
  • Knowledge of drafting and design standards (ANSI Y14.5 GD & T)
  • Understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing (DFA and DFM principles)
  • Knowledge of measurement systems and techniques
  • Strong ability to communicate
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new information
  • Ability to manage their time
  • Positive attitude
  • Enjoys hands on approach toward engineering
