About the role
- Software QA Engineer ensuring quality through test automation for microservices and APIs at Zinkworks. Collaborating within an agile team and using modern technologies like OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for microservices , APIs , and data pipelines
- Perform Backend API testing , Database validation , and Integration testing
- Write BDD tests using Cucumber in a Java -based test framework (JUnit, Maven, Gradle)
- Automate tests for Spring Boot and Spring Batch applications deployed to OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters
- Validate SQL queries, stored procedures , and complex data transformations
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines ( UDeploy , Jenkins, etc.)
- Collaborate with developers to define test coverage, quality metrics, and debug issues
Requirements
- 5 years experience in Java development for test automation
- Strong API testing experience (REST, JSON, etc.)
- Solid SQL knowledge – writing queries, validating stored procedures
- Spring Boot and Spring Batch familiarity
- Comfortable with Unix/Linux commands for debugging/logging
- OpenShift or Kubernetes cluster experience
