About the role

  • QA Engineer responsible for testing and automation in mobile game development. Collaborating with teams to enhance software quality and performance across various devices.

Responsibilities

  • Drive test automation efforts and AI usage
  • Be an advocate for increasing efficiency within the software development workflow from a QA perspective
  • Ownership and responsibility for ensuring the delivered product and service meets agreed quality standards
  • Identifying and recommending remedial action as and when required if deficiencies are identified in QA processes, ways of working or tools
  • Being a center of excellence inside the allocated team and actively working with the development managers
  • Participate in the ongoing testing efforts in the allocated team as a dedicated tester
  • Design test cases and test plans
  • Executing - or driving the execution of - test plans, raise and investigate bugs, validate the fixes
  • Prepare test systems and data to support easy execution of planned test cases
  • Coordinate with 3rd party testing teams if necessary
  • Provide QA reports demonstrating product quality and readiness for production
  • Participate in improving test coverage and reducing risk factors during the release of stories, new games or game versions, identify new tools and ways of working
  • Measure software quality and ensure it is maintained and improved over the lifetime of the product

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English
  • Proficient with Windows, Google Suite, Basic Java
  • Appium (or Selenium)
  • JUnit / TestNG or similar framework
  • BDD (or TDD)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a testing role
  • Proactive attitude - being able to analyze, improve and take responsibility for the QA processes
  • Experience using test case management tools and bug tracking software e.g. Jira, Testrail
  • Experience working with Android devices
  • Previous experience from high-paced environments a strong plus.
