About the role

  • Manage payroll accounting and tax filings for U.S. and Canadian payroll. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tax teams for compliance and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex U.S. and Canadian payroll accounting, tax filings, and reconciliation activities.
  • Prepare payroll funding, accruals, and journal entries, including Fidelity 401K wires and postings in SAP.
  • Perform payroll-related reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and P&L account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and file U.S. and Canadian payroll tax filings, including quarterly and year-end forms (W-2, T4).
  • Resolve payroll tax issues and agency notices, support audits and system updates.
  • Coordinate vacation payouts, patent award payments, and various deductions.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll entries and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with USA, Canada Payroll tax and accounting
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and SAP
  • Advanced knowledge in excel and MS office
  • CPP certification preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities
