About the role

  • Community Support Intern for DIE ZEIT supporting the community team. Moderating discussions, reviewing comments, and engaging with readers online.

Responsibilities

  • Support the community team in moderating comments.
  • Review comments for violations of netiquette.
  • Forward reader tips to the relevant editorial departments.
  • Lead online discussions and interact with readers.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
  • Experience moderating online debates.
  • Ideally, experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong interest in news and awareness of current online debates.
  • Experience using inclusive, non-discriminatory language.
  • Committed and empathetic conflict-resolution skills.
  • Reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable working in a team.
