Community Engagement Liaison leading community engagement initiatives and business growth for Apple Federal Credit Union. Collaborating with partners and assessing community needs while supporting events and enrollment.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, leads community engagement initiatives that result in business generation.
Collaborates and engages with community partners and employees to accurately assess community needs that drive business growth.
Provides support to participating school districts and business partners by conducting on-site and/or virtual open enrollment sessions and participating in community festivals and partners' benefits fairs to assist members/potential members in understanding and using credit union products and services.
Adapts to changing needs while maintaining positive relationships with community and business partners, including identifying new business opportunities.
Performs other Community Engagement duties as assigned by the Community Engagement Officer.
Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Serve with Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It.
Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Measures all new membership growth and activity from community events, benefits fairs, and open enrollments in an effort to inform future decisions regarding event participation.
Supports other Community Engagement efforts including volunteer events, shred events, and Apple-generated drives (school supply, food, etc.).
Supports and nurtures branches in community engagement activities including the management of the community events calendar.
Encourages branch managers and other staff participating in community events through positive coaching skills learned in AWIS and through leading by example.
Requirements
Minimum three to five years financial services industry experience and/or sales experience required.
Minimum three years event planning experience or equivalent preferred.
A high school education or GED.
AA or BA/BS preferred.
Fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required to effectively engage with Spanish-speaking members, deliver presentations, and support community partners.
The ability to lift 25 lbs. and utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to, PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.
