About the role
- Credit Decisions Analyst responsible for assessing credit applications for Merchant Cash Advances. Collaborating with global partners and optimizing internal risk processes in a growing finance platform.
Responsibilities
- As part of our Credit Decision Team, you will be responsible for the credit assessment of new and existing customers applying for Merchant Cash Advances (MCAs).
- You will process applications from thousands of German and Danish businesses coming through our global partners.
- You assess repayment capacity and risk profiles by analyzing financial data, financial statements, and revenue/payment data.
- You decide on the terms of financing offers (amount, duration, price), balancing risk with growth.
- Using state-of-the-art third-party systems, you manage KYC checks as well as onboarding and compliance risks.
- You work closely with other teams to continuously improve our risk engine and internal workflows.
Requirements
- Analytical Focus: You enjoy working with data and possess high attention to detail.
- Experience: Ideally, you have 1–2 years of experience in underwriting or finance; however, we also welcome highly motivated talents with a strong analytical background.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel is a prerequisite.
- Hands-on Mentality: You are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with daily deadlines.
- Languages: You communicate confidently and professionally in German and English.
- Nice to Have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience handling large datasets (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
