About the role

• Working Student in Finance managing expense reports and collaborating with accounting team on financial matters. Flexible working arrangements available in Berlin with remote options.

Responsibilities

• Manage travel expenses, receipts and bookings using our digital expense platform Spendesk, including verification and allocation of expenses.
• Support monthly and annual closing processes in close collaboration with the accounting team and external tax advisors.
• Reconcile accounts and review supporting documents to ensure proper bookkeeping and compliance with internal policies.
• Maintain and manage invoices and supporting documents, including digital filing, tracking of open items, and communication with vendors.
• General administrative tasks in financial accounting and controlling, such as data maintenance, documentation, and process optimization.
• Create and maintain financial dashboards to visualize key metrics and support the company's financial management.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Business Law, or a related field with a focus on accounting or financial accounting.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting and bookkeeping.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Meticulous, precise and reliable working style.
• Ideally, some initial experience using accounting software such as Spendesk or DATEV.
• Independent and structured way of working.
• Interest and affinity for working with financial dashboards; preferably some knowledge of Power BI.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.
• Availability for up to 20 hours per week and enrollment in a degree program for at least one more year.
