About the role

  • Software Developer working on PHP/Symfony platform at XPIM. Involves designing features, implementing cloud solutions, and improving data management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of new features and modules for our PHP/Symfony platform — from the initial idea through to production operation.
  • Design of system and data architectures: data flows, integration paths, API design, security and scalability considerations.
  • Further development and administration of our tech stack: PHP/Symfony platform, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD processes.
  • Design and implementation of data integration processes, e.g. automated ETL pipelines as well as data validation and transformation.
  • Build, maintain and optimize our cloud infrastructure (AWS), including Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
  • Development and integration of REST APIs and custom integration projects for onboarding new customers.
  • Independently implement specific customer requirements around product data management, PIM systems and e‑commerce — including technical consulting, planning and execution.
  • Continuous analysis and improvement of existing processes, architectures and deployments (monitoring, performance, stability).

Requirements

  • Experience as a developer in a professional PHP/Symfony environment, ideally with cloud and DevOps contexts.
  • Ability to derive technical concepts from business requirements and document and explain them in a structured way.
  • Solid knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker) and automation of deployments and CI/CD with Git.
  • Confident handling of APIs and their integration.
  • Practical experience in building, operating and monitoring cloud infrastructures (AWS).
  • Advantageous: Know‑how in PIM systems or product data management.
  • Strong analytical skills, systems thinking and enthusiasm for contributing your own ideas and exploring new technologies.
  • German at C1 level required; English skills are a plus.

Benefits

  • Full-time or part-time
  • Remote work possible
  • Access to a modern tech stack and freedom to shape your work
  • Significant influence: you actively shape our technical roadmap and take your ideas from concept to live operation.
  • End-to-end responsibility: you accompany “your” solutions throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • A data-driven environment focused on product master data in the trades — with real use cases and visible value for our customers.
  • Modern technologies, an agile working style, flat hierarchies and short decision‑making paths.
  • Individual development opportunities and genuine responsibility instead of rigid role descriptions.
