About the role

  • Executive Assistant providing high-level support for Chief Legal Officer at Xero. Responsible for managing operations of the Risk, Ethics, Advocacy & Legal team in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • provide high-level executive support to the Chief Legal Officer
  • drive the operational rhythm of the Risk, Ethics, Advocacy & Legal (REAL) team.
  • manage complex stakeholders and anticipate business needs before they arise.
  • take ownership of board operations and strategic planning cycles.
  • lead communication planning and drafting team-wide messages to ensure consistent engagement.
  • manage the lifecycle of leadership meetings and offsites.
  • provide critical support for board operations, including management of board papers.

Requirements

  • experience supporting senior executives within complex, knowledge-based environments.
  • high level of professional maturity and resilience to remain a force of calm in a fast-paced setting.
  • natural inclination for taking initiative, identifying potential roadblocks and presenting robust solutions independently.
  • background in supporting knowledge professionals allows to quickly grasp new contexts and handle sensitive information with complete discretion.
  • strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across a global team.
  • technical proficiency in G-suite and board management platforms, with an interest in adopting AI tools to enhance effectiveness.
