About the role

  • Accounting Assistant at Olin Business School responsible for day-to-day financial operations. Managing financial transactions and compliance issues in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Accounting Department Representative for operational and support departments.
  • Act as purchasing agent for OBS, understanding departmental needs, budget restrictions, and policies.
  • Process financial transactions through Workday, including expense reports, purchase orders, and supplier invoices.
  • Advise and resolve compliance issues related to financial transactions.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and collaborate with departments.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist with budget preparation and reporting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Accounting, Business, Administrative Support (3 Years).
  • Preferred: College degree, business or vocational school.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred: Accounting/Bookkeeping (4 Years).
