About the role
- Mid-Level Community Planner supporting municipal planning and economic development efforts at WSB. Collaborating with client communities and conducting various planning tasks within the Twin City Metro area.
Responsibilities
- Support our planning and economic development team with general planning services to our municipal clients
- Be a Client Liaison with client communities
- Specific work tasks include: Data analysis and collection
- Review of land use applications
- Preparation of staff reports
- Plan and ordinance writing
- Code/zoning enforcement
- Community engagement
- Draft Comprehensive Plans
- Other duties related to planning and economic development
Requirements
- Four-year degree in urban planning or a related field
- Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a similar field desired
- 3-4 years' experience required
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Desire to work to grow the Community Planning business
- Strong presentation and writing skills
- Proven abilities in leadership, facilitating commission/council meetings, relationship-building, a positive attitude, and a passion for your work are also required.
- Ability to travel up to 10% within the Twin City Metro
- Ability to work in the posted location
