About the role
- Community Correctional Officer overseeing rehabilitative services under Probation and Parole Division. Ensuring compliance with correctional policies to manage high-risk offenders in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, rehabilitation, and support services to offenders under the supervision of the Probation and Parole Division of the Vermont Department of Corrections.
- Utilize both risk control and risk management services as part of a supervision team of high-risk offenders.
- Perform duties in accordance with correctional policies, directives, and procedures under the supervision of an administrative superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social service or a related human services field OR Associate's degree AND one (1) year or more of experience in corrections, human services, military service, law enforcement or other related field.
- OR High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience in corrections, human services, military service, law enforcement or other related field.
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license required.
- Pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position.
