About the role
- Senior Project Director overseeing Mining EPCM projects. Leading project execution and ensuring client satisfaction on high-value projects.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the development of budgets, schedules and reports
- Management and coordination of project staff and sub-contractors
- Ensure safe, cost effective, efficient and timely completion of Studies
- Meet and/or exceed client expectations
Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 25 years of relevant experience in a Mining EPCM Engineering environment, mining construction and/or mining operations.
- Must have a minimum of 15 years as a Project Manager on several large mining projects ($100 Mn - $1 Bn) in lithium, gold, copper and other precious metals from study phase to execution and construction phases
- Mining project experience is essential construction execution experience is essential
- Experience in managing greenfield, or large brownfield projects is required
- Demonstrated ability to develop new, proprietary and innovative solutions to current processes
- Strong Leadership, solid communication & interpersonal skills are required
- Completion of a diploma or degree in a certified project management program is considered an asset
- A willingness to travel, both domestic and internationally, for varying durations and at times to remote locations
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
