About the role

  • Pediatric Physical Therapist providing evaluation and therapeutic support for children with developmental delays. Join a multidisciplinary team at Wonderland Child & Family Services in Shoreline, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluation and therapeutic support services for children ages birth to three years with developmental delays or disabilities
  • Provide coaching, consultation, counseling, and training services for caregivers of enrolled children
  • Be an active part of a dynamic transdisciplinary team of therapists, educators, and family resources coordinators
  • Assess and evaluate each child’s performance in all areas of development to determine eligibility for early support services
  • Participate in the development of each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
  • Provide direct and indirect services to children with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural learning environments
  • Provide support and consultation for staff, parents, and care providers utilizing a coaching model
  • Monitor ongoing developmental milestones in all areas of development including hearing and vision
  • Attend or conduct conferences/consultations with caregivers
  • Prepare written reports and chart notes as required

Requirements

  • Valid PT license in state of Washington
  • Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable automobile required
  • Minimum one year of direct service experience with children and families
  • Knowledge of parent/caregiver coaching; experience preferred
  • Able to work at a center, in a family’s home, and in a variety of community settings
  • Current criminal background check maintained for all employees
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
