About the role
- Pediatric Physical Therapist providing evaluation and therapeutic support for children with developmental delays. Join a multidisciplinary team at Wonderland Child & Family Services in Shoreline, WA.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation and therapeutic support services for children ages birth to three years with developmental delays or disabilities
- Provide coaching, consultation, counseling, and training services for caregivers of enrolled children
- Be an active part of a dynamic transdisciplinary team of therapists, educators, and family resources coordinators
- Assess and evaluate each child’s performance in all areas of development to determine eligibility for early support services
- Participate in the development of each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Provide direct and indirect services to children with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural learning environments
- Provide support and consultation for staff, parents, and care providers utilizing a coaching model
- Monitor ongoing developmental milestones in all areas of development including hearing and vision
- Attend or conduct conferences/consultations with caregivers
- Prepare written reports and chart notes as required
Requirements
- Valid PT license in state of Washington
- Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and reliable automobile required
- Minimum one year of direct service experience with children and families
- Knowledge of parent/caregiver coaching; experience preferred
- Able to work at a center, in a family’s home, and in a variety of community settings
- Current criminal background check maintained for all employees
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
