Responsibilities
- Participates in a formal 12-month training program to develop skills to successfully support the engineering aspects of operating landfill.
- Develops an understanding of all permits governing construction and operation of landfill disposal sites.
- Works with consulting firms preparing regulatory documents for adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Assists senior WM engineers on construction projects.
- Ensures compliance with permits working alongside operation teams.
- Assists in preparation or review of engineering, monitoring and environmental reports.
- Works with landfill managers to formulate short- and long-term goals.
- Interacts with state and local agencies for efficient and effective compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Engineering, or similar area of study.
