About the role

  • Senior Quality Assurance Specialist supporting Quality assurance in Westinghouse's nuclear programs. Ensuring compliance with QA standards and customer requirements in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Proposal development from QA Point of view, including review of customer QA requirements against company QA programs and capabilities
  • Perform estimation of QA effort during Proposal Development process
  • Review Customer POs for conformance with Westinghouse proposal from QA point of view
  • Review Quality Level Categorization of Procurement specifications according to CSA N299.X
  • Review Procurement Documentation from QA point of view, for conformance to Standards, Codes, design and Customer contractual requirements
  • Prepare or review ITPs, Travelers or equivalent inspection and tests planning documents in accordance with applicable governing codes, standards and contractual requirements
  • Review suppliers ITPs, Travelers or equivalent inspection and tests planning documents
  • Establish Witness and Hold Points in internal or suppliers ITPs, Travelers or equivalent inspection and tests planning documents
  • Perform suppliers’ surveillances and audits
  • Verify through surveillances and internal audits that internal work scopes by Westinghouse Engineering, Products, and Manufacturing organizations meet the QA management system, Procedures, Codes and Standards, and Customer requirements
  • Verify that internal or supplier QA Data Package (History Docket/File) meets Codes, Standards and Contractual requirements
  • Prepare procedures, QA Standards, Project Quality Plans
  • Review the disposition and resolution of non-conformances
  • Training other personnel in area of QA

Requirements

  • College diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Technology
  • Minimum 4 years experience, 8 years preferred, with at least 5 years in Nuclear Industry
