About the role
- Environmental Manager ensuring compliance with various environmental regulations in an adhesive and cleaning product company. Developing an environmental management system in a modern structured environment.
Responsibilities
- Waste and material flow management (10%): Independently responsible for administrative waste management, including documentation, register maintenance and coordination of disposal.
- Environmental law & compliance (40%): Ensuring compliance with all environmental legal requirements (e.g. KrWG, VerpackG, BImSchG, VOC directives, water protection, etc.).
- Environmental management system (40%): Establishment and further development of the environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001.
- Packaging law (10%): Coordination and implementation of national and international requirements of packaging legislation.
Requirements
- Completed training in an environmental, technical or natural sciences field (e.g. Environmental Technician, CTA (Chemical Technical Assistant), Chemical Laboratory Assistant with environmental qualification, or equivalent).
- Experience handling waste and organizing waste processes; qualifications as a certified waste officer or environmental management representative can be obtained.
- Knowledge of environmental, waste or packaging law; initial practical experience in implementing emissions regulations is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge in establishing or operating an environmental management system (ISO 14001).
- Confident use of ERP systems (preferably MS Navision) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Independent, structured and responsible working style.
- Strong numerical affinity and meticulous documentation skills.
