About the role

  • Senior Consultant for SAP Migration at Wavestone managing complex migration projects. Leading innovations and collaborating across teams to ensure effective transformation processes.

Responsibilities

  • You will help build a high-performance migration factory together with our team and contribute to embedding and expanding this capability for the long term.
  • You will drive innovation in the migration domain: using AI-assisted approaches, working with continuously evolving templates and frameworks, and keeping track of new methods, SAP standards and third-party solutions.
  • You will lead SAP S/4HANA migration projects or sub-projects — including planning, steering, reporting and client coordination.
  • You will view migration not just as a technical data transfer but holistically across processes, technologies and business goals — advising clients on transformation strategies, process harmonization and target architectures.
  • You will take responsibility for delivering high-quality results in the SAP migration context and ensure migration initiatives are executed efficiently, in a structured and purpose-driven way.
  • You will coordinate collaboration between business units, technical teams and external partners and manage complex dependencies across the entire transformation project.
  • You will contribute beyond the migration focus in SAP projects, for example with module expertise, in testing, training, architecture or classic project management support.
  • You will actively participate in the expansion and development of our SAP migration team and provide professional support to coachees within the team.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed university degree.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading projects or sub-projects for SAP migration initiatives (e.g., S/4HANA, Brownfield/Greenfield, Selective Data Transition).
  • Solid knowledge of SAP data structures, business processes and migration tools — and the ability to consider migration as an integral part of a complete transformation.
  • Confident use of project management methods (agile & classical); ideally experience with SAP Activate.
  • Ability to explain complex SAP migration processes and transformation paths clearly and to manage them with clients.
  • Very good German and English skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience in other SAP areas such as module consulting, testing, training or architecture — or the motivation to develop in these areas over time.
