About the role

  • Senior-level engineer managing mechanical and electrical systems at a secure government facility. Leading operations while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and repair complex building systems, including boilers, HVAC equipment, mechanical systems, and associated electrical components
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for engineering and building operations within the facility
  • Troubleshoot system failures and perform corrective maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee junior engineers and maintenance personnel
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, codes, and federal standards
  • Monitor system performance and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Review technical documentation, logs, and maintenance records for accuracy and compliance
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, and system testing as required by contract or regulatory agencies
  • Respond to facility emergencies and support continuity of operations

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Valid Stationary Engineer Grade 1 License
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in engineering services, facilities engineering, or building operations
  • Extensive experience operating and maintaining complex mechanical and electromechanical systems
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and best practices applicable to government facilities
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in a regulated environment
