About the role

  • Advanced Operations Engineer leading NPI and process development efforts for electronics manufacturing. Serving as a technical interface for quality, cost, and delivery objectives across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leads new product introduction (NPI) and process development efforts
  • Serves as the technical interface between customers, program management, and manufacturing
  • Conducts Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Develops manufacturing process flows, work instructions, and tooling requirements
  • Supports first builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up
  • Optimizes SMT, through-hole, box build, and test processes
  • Drives yield improvement, scrap reduction, and process capability
  • Supports root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Partners cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production
  • Interfaces with customers on technical and manufacturing topics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Experience supporting NPI in a contract manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in regulated industries (Medical, Aerospace, Defense)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP and MES systems
