Senior Software Engineer leading scalable software solutions at Walmart. Collaborating with teams to drive software development lifecycle and integrate advanced AI/ML components.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Drive the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Integrate advanced AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities.
Write clean, efficient, and reliable code using languages such as Java, Scala, & React driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
Monitor application performance, support defect management, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles.
Strong technical acumen in platform design, component services, and iterative development methodologies.
Proven ability to deliver scoped features and manage full software lifecycle including CI/CD, automated testing, and debugging.
Expertise in integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
Demonstrated skills in code review, documentation-based coding, and maintaining high-quality, maintainable software.
Effective collaboration and communication skills to work across teams and translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
