Responsibilities
Disciplinary and technical leadership of the department (commercial shipping, small-parts shipping, machine packaging and mailroom)
Responsible for staff management and development
Monitoring, control and continuous improvement of departmental processes
Assuming customs responsibility and coordination within the shipping area
Organizing large machine shipments, special orders and transports
Coordinating cooperation with freight forwarders and external service providers
Managing internal packaging processes and overseeing external packaging orders
Responsibility for regulatory reporting
Developing, implementing and monitoring measures to improve quality and productivity
Ensuring compliance with environmental and occupational safety regulations
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training with professional experience in international shipping/logistics
Management experience
Professional experience in mechanical engineering desirable
Solid knowledge of export and customs matters as well as international trade (ATLAS export declaration, rules of origin, tariff classification, Incoterms)
Confident user of MS Office and SAP (or a comparable ERP system)
Good English skills (spoken and written)
Strong leadership skills, resilience and flexibility
