About the role

• Flight Ops Technician analyzing and managing aircraft performance data for safe, efficient flight operations at Vueling. Collaborating closely with pilots and enhancing operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and manage aircraft performance and operational data to support safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.
• Ensure the company’s performance calculations and operational practices remain compliant with the latest regulations.
• Ensure manuals are clear, accurate and up-to-date, facilitating compliance with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all safety-critical data is accurately processed and incorporated into performance assessments, supporting overall flight safety.
• Increase operational efficiency and accuracy in data handling, reducing manual workload and potential for errors.
• Support comprehensive risk management strategies, enhancing flight safety and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the design and development of deviation point procedures for all Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs) across Vueling’s network, supporting the entry into service of the Boeing 737 MAX 8200 fleet from December 2026.
• Ensure rigorous monitoring and validation of performance technical documentation related to the new fleet, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory standards, operational requirements, and internal quality benchmarks.
• Maintain and continuously improve aircraft performance data feeding key engineering and navigation systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely updates across all operational platforms.
• Manage and track training data, reports, and records for Flight Operations technical personnel, supporting compliance, traceability, and continuous development of the team.
• Perform in-depth technical analysis to support the definition, business cases, implementation, and evolution of high-impact transformation projects within the Flight Operations technical area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, is mandatory to ensure a strong foundational understanding of aircraft performance principles and the aviation industry standards.
• No Prior Experience Required, as this position is designed as an entry-level role suitable for recent graduates. However, any relevant experience in aviation operations or data analysis is considered beneficial.
• Comprehensive knowledge of how aircraft performance is calculated and the factors that influence it.
• Advanced skills in using Excel for data analysis, including creating and utilising macros for efficiency.
• Experience in writing scripts and automating repetitive tasks using programming languages such as Python or Visual Basic is highly valued.
• Languages: English C1, Spanish C1.
