About the role
- Fixed Asset Accounting Analyst maintaining fixed asset records and financial reporting accuracy. Collaborating with international teams on compliance and asset management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate processing of additions, disposals, depreciation, and month-end activities.
- Post month-end journals, including Opex–Capex and Capex–Capex transfers, and prepare the monthly fixed asset reporting pack.
- Capitalise projects and close project accounts in the fixed asset register when required.
- Prepare and report monthly Hyperion fixed asset schedules.
- Establish and monitor controls, procedures, and documentation for fixed asset capitalisation.
- Reconcile the fixed asset subsidiary ledger with the general ledger.
- Support audit activities during half-year and year-end cycles.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with clear explanations and action points for open items.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness across all month-close deliverables.
- Conduct fixed asset-related analyses as required by management.
- Adhere to risk controls and escalate potential risks promptly.
- Comply with system rules, authority levels, and SLAs.
- Take ownership of day‑to‑day issues and drive resolution.
- Provide strong support to project managers and partner teams to foster collaboration and trust.
- Coordinate with onshore fixed asset managers on financial control initiatives.
- Demonstrate effective teamwork and contribute to collective success.
- Challenge existing processes and propose improvements proactively.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting or a related finance function.
- Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to apply principles accurately.
- Skilled in reporting, MIS preparation, and analytical problem‑solving.
- Graduate/postgraduate in Commerce.
- Knowledge of the Australian telecom industry (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, responsible, and customer‑focused, with strong attention to detail.
- Flexible and able to learn in a dynamic environment.
