About the role

• Senior Expert DevSecOps managing Oracle GoldenGate operations and overseeing 24/7 support at Vodafone. Collaborating internationally for performance optimization and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the operation and monitoring — including 24/7 on-call support — for batch jobs, web services and L3 support for Oracle GoldenGate incidents.
• You will prepare and deploy Oracle GoldenGate platform releases (Realtime Oracle GoldenGate Data Integration, web services, data transformation and file transfer), including hypercare, and implement monitoring mechanisms and CI/CD pipelines.
• You will analyze and resolve complex incidents, coordinate improvement measures and manage major incidents together with delivery units, testing, security and infrastructure teams.
• You will perform regular health checks and performance optimizations for PL/SQL code on Oracle databases and Oracle GoldenGate replications, and administer WebLogic, the Data Unload Framework and internal DB servers including root-cause analysis, housekeeping and patch upgrades to ensure stable operations.
• You will verify compliance with cyber security guidelines for development, operations and data integration, derive measures from Vodafone requirements, perform security assessments, document findings (SecRDDs) and coordinate activities during security incidents and audits, including certificate management and PSU patching.
• You will actively participate in Communities of Practice across disciplines such as Development, Data Integration, Testing, Cyber Security and Application Operations, and communicate at operational and leadership levels within the IT organization.

Requirements

• Successfully completed university degree (or degree from a university of applied sciences) in computer science, engineering, mathematics or natural sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in IT — ideally in DevSecOps, development or administrative roles.
• Strong understanding of complex IT landscapes and their interactions, as well as deep experience with CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and solid development experience with Oracle GoldenGate, SQL and familiarity with Java, Kafka and REST.
• Familiar with DevSecOps principles and knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Certifications such as Certified DevSecOps Professional, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP or CKA/CKAD are an advantage.
• Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or SAFe and willingness to train and raise teams’ awareness on security topics and DevSecOps processes.
• Extensive experience implementing solutions for large data volumes including real-time data integration with Oracle GoldenGate, PL/SQL, REST services, batch files and performance tuning, and confident handling of Oracle database objects and UNIX/Linux.
• Good knowledge of shell scripting, administration of Oracle WebLogic application servers and experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M), ETL support and Java are advantageous.
• Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) as well as monitoring and log-analysis tools (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, Datadog).
