About the role

  • Design and implement scalable DID/VC architectures on public or permissioned blockchains. Lead integrations with identity services, corporate systems, ZKP frameworks and operational practices.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement scalable, secure DID/VC architectures with a blockchain layer (public and/or permissioned) for enterprise use cases.
  • Lead the design and execution of integrations between blockchain, identity services and corporate systems (APIs, events, gateways, messaging).
  • Ensure consistent adoption of DID/VC, blockchain and smart contract standards and specifications (where applicable), focusing on interoperability and engineering best practices.
  • Develop and test data ingestion flows (ETL).
  • Implement and use ZKP (zero-knowledge proof) frameworks and Hyperledger technologies (focused on identity).
  • Build integrations with certificate issuers.
  • Develop and design integrations with identity wallets/agents/SDKs.
  • Design end-to-end flows for issuance, presentation and verification of credentials, aligning governance, traceability and operational requirements.
  • Define engineering standards for smart contracts: modeling, events, versioning, testing, review and security practices.
  • Define environment strategy: deployment and operation of nodes/services (cloud/on-prem/Kubernetes), observability, performance and resilience.
  • Establish quality practices: integration and end-to-end testing, contract testing, performance testing and CI/CD automations.
  • Produce and evolve reference architectures, guides and technical accelerators to standardize and scale deliveries.
  • Participate in and manage change processes according to the company’s ITSM governance for change management.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a senior developer/architect in distributed systems and complex integrations.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Decentralized Identity (DID/VC) in a corporate context.
  • Practical experience with blockchain (at least one relevant platform), including node integration, transactions, events and network operations.
  • Mastery of applicable standards and specifications for DID/VC and smart contracts, with a focus on interoperability and engineering.
  • Experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, Kotlin or C#.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring and/or Quarkus in production (or equivalents).
  • Knowledge of applied security (signatures, keys, secrets, hardening and access controls) and engineering practices (testing, CI/CD).
