About the role

  • Staff Counsel providing high-quality legal guidance within Vistage’s Law Department. Collaborating with senior counsel and business leaders on various legal matters and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Develop a strong understanding of Vistage's business model and risk tolerance
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Assist with litigation and dispute management
  • Support compliance with privacy and data protection laws
  • Collaborate with outside counsel for legal support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of legal processes

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active member of the California Bar or registration as California In-House Counsel
  • 1–5 years of experience practicing law
  • Experience or exposure to commercial contracts, litigation management, corporate compliance, privacy laws, etc.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and legal-specific software
  • Strong legal judgment and ability to assess risk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
