About the role
- System Engineer focusing on Backup within IT services at Axians ICT Austria, handling infrastructure maintenance and ensuring backup security. Collaborating with diverse departments in Vienna, Linz, or Salzburg, with a strong emphasis on Commvault.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance as well as the security and availability of our backup infrastructure (focus on Commvault)
- Resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests within the scope of our project guidelines
- Collaborating with our diverse business units
- Supporting the development of infrastructure services based on reference architectures for our customers
- Taking on fixed operational duties as well as scheduled on-call shifts
Requirements
- Completed IT education (apprenticeship, HTL (Higher Technical Institute), University of Applied Sciences, university) or comparable qualification
- Solid experience in administering Windows and Linux servers
- Several years of professional experience in backup & storage
- Professional experience in administering and operating Commvault is a strong plus
- Fluent German and English skills
