About the role
- Data Scientist responsible for analyzing business problems and developing ML models at G+D. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an international technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Problemanalyse: Geschäftsprobleme analyisieren und strukturieren, Hypothesen und Erfolgskriterien definieren, Datenanforderungen klären
- PoC und MVP Entwicklung: Explorative Datenanalyse, Feature Engineering, Modellierung und Erstellung von Entscheidungsvorlagen
- Stakeholder Kollaboration: Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Fachexperten, Produktmanagern und dem global aufgestellten ML und Data Engineering, sowie IT Team
- ML Plattform: Umsetzung von Best-Practices auf AI/ML-Development Plattform
- Vendor Kollaboration und Knowledge Transfer: Anforderungen definieren, Code-/Doku-Reviews, Enablement-Sessions, Best Practices sichern
- Mentoring: Eigenständige Betreuung von Werkstudenten und Masteranden
Requirements
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Studium in Data Science, Statistik, Mathematik, Informatik oder einem verwandten Bereich
- Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung in Machine Learning oder Data Science
- Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Softwareentwicklung und Python
- Ausgezeichnete Kenntnisse in Machine Learning und den gängigen Python Frameworks (z.B. pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, tensorflow)
- Erfahrung mit Microsoft Azure und RedHat OpenShift ist wünschenswert
- Sicherer Umgang mit Datenbanken sowie Kenntnisse in Databricks und Spark ist wünschenswert
- Kentnisse in Containerisierung und Model Serving in Kubernetes‑Umgebungen ist wünschenswert
- Erfahrung mit Hybrid-/On‑Prem‑Setups ist wünschenswert
- Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit externen Anbietern und Dienstleistern ist wünschenswert
- Hervorragende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, ausreichend komplexe Zusammenhänge klar darzustellen und mit internationalen Geschäftspartnern zu diskutieren
