About the role
- Senior Platform Engineer automating runtime infrastructure and championing CI/CD for G+D digital security solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams on robust monitoring and operations.
Responsibilities
- Define and automate runtime infrastructure (networks, databases, proxies, and firewalls) as code, both cloud and on-premises.
- Ensure secure and reliable systems by applying network and infrastructure security best practices.
- Design, implement, and operate robust monitoring, logging, and alerting tools so engineers can confidently own their apps.
- Champion CI/CD for development teams—support them in building, securing, QA pipelining, packaging, and releasing applications.
- Apply automation everywhere possible, empower teams with self-service, and drive company-wide innovation.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc)
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (especially Terraform)
- Extensive practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Comfortable in Linux/Unix, with a good grasp of system internals
- Skilled at scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, HA concepts)
- Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD is a plus)
- Familiarity with modern monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Security-by-design thinker; knowledge of infrastructure and app security best practices, cloud vulnerabilities, compliance, and incident response
- Excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Proven team player: collaborative, supportive, and able to thrive in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communicator, fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
