About the role
- Management Accountant leading financial reporting for Hampshire region at Veolia. Collaborating with operational management to deliver accurate financial information and analysis for the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in all aspects of financial reporting and financial control for our Hampshire region
- To be a member of the Finance team working closely with the operational business
- The role holder will be working with operational management to deliver accurate financial information
- Production and analysis of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing the account certifications for direct reports to ensure that they can withstand audit scrutiny
- Preparation of forecasts, budgets and Long Term Plan in conjunction with the General Manager and Financial Controller
- Statutory accounts preparation and liaison with Group auditors
- Control and reporting of capital expenditure
- Financial analysis of operational data and KPI
- Post investment financial review and analysis of long term financial performance
- Working with clients on contract performance and adapting to any changes in service
Requirements
- A fully qualified ACCA or CIMA Accountant with previous relevant experience
- Previous experience business partnering preferable
- Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
- Broad system skills preferably with working knowledge of Workday and SAP
- Strong presentation, communication and organisational skills
- Strategic planning and leadership skills
