About the role

  • Graduate Compliance Assistant working on regulatory schemes in environmental management at Veolia. Supporting project management and compliance while developing professionally within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal project management and deployment and compliance of existing of future regulatory schemes such as Emissions Trading Schemes, Renewable Incentives (heat & electricity), Carbon Taxation and Energy Intensive Industries Exemption
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines for existing regulatory schemes are met
  • Support presentations and briefing of legislative policy to stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Reporting and analysis of current energy regulations - advise impact and compliance requirements
  • Maintain procedures required to ensure compliance of Government and market policy
  • Advise on the impact of regulation changes and assist in response to relevant consultations

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification in Environmental Management/Science/Engineering or other suitable STEM subject (to be achieved by September 2026)
  • Data handling, analytical and reading comprehension skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of energy regulation, emissions trading schemes, emissions monitoring or carbon accounting (Desirable)
  • Willingness to travel to training locations and UK wide sites as required
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development
