About the role
- Graduate Compliance Assistant working on regulatory schemes in environmental management at Veolia. Supporting project management and compliance while developing professionally within the company.
Responsibilities
- Support internal project management and deployment and compliance of existing of future regulatory schemes such as Emissions Trading Schemes, Renewable Incentives (heat & electricity), Carbon Taxation and Energy Intensive Industries Exemption
- Ensure all reporting deadlines for existing regulatory schemes are met
- Support presentations and briefing of legislative policy to stakeholders (internal and external)
- Reporting and analysis of current energy regulations - advise impact and compliance requirements
- Maintain procedures required to ensure compliance of Government and market policy
- Advise on the impact of regulation changes and assist in response to relevant consultations
Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in Environmental Management/Science/Engineering or other suitable STEM subject (to be achieved by September 2026)
- Data handling, analytical and reading comprehension skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of energy regulation, emissions trading schemes, emissions monitoring or carbon accounting (Desirable)
- Willingness to travel to training locations and UK wide sites as required
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
