Account Analyst responsible for monthly balance closing and financial reconciliation at Veolia. Engage in a dynamic and collaborative financial environment for sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
Perform the monthly trial balance closing based on consolidated system data, ensuring accurate determination of accounting results;
Support and review routines performed by accounting assistants and clerks, ensuring the stages and deadlines of the monthly closing schedule are met;
Provide technical support to the team and other departments, clarifying questions on accounting methods or document classification to prevent errors and rework;
Validate accounts payable transactions by verifying system data and supporting documentation to mitigate risks and inconsistencies;
Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies together with the team;
Support external and internal audits, as well as tax inspections, ensuring the availability of accounting information and reports;
Participate in process improvement projects and the implementation of internal controls.
Requirements
Previous experience in financial closing and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts;
Knowledge of accounting standards (CPCs/IFRS) and fiscal bookkeeping procedures;
Experience supporting external and internal audits;
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for analyses and controls;
Experience with integrated accounting systems (ERP);
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude;
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fields; active CRC (Brazilian Board of Accountancy registration) is a plus.
