About the role

  • Solution Architect designing and implementing enterprise architecture in a digital transformation context at Vaudoise in Switzerland. Collaborating across teams and technologies for strategic architecture alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to evaluate and select solutions and technologies
  • Design and lead the implementation of application, technology and data integration architectures across a group of applications or specific enterprise technologies in line with company strategy
  • Provide architectural guidance to project teams
  • Advise technical and infrastructure architects to ensure solution implementations align with the enterprise-wide architecture
  • Understand, advocate for and reinforce IT strategy principles
  • Analyze the IT landscape (manage, develop and transform the organization) to identify critical failures and recommend improvement measures
  • Provide hands-on expertise and contribute to maintaining the architecture repository (standards, best practices, catalogs, etc.)

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in computer science or related field (University of Applied Sciences / HES, Bachelor's/Master's, EPFL)
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a technical/solutions architect role
  • Experience on large-scale transformation projects
  • Strong knowledge of inter-application data integration
  • Cloud experience (Microsoft Azure and SaaS solutions) and experience in API design and implementation
  • Front-end knowledge (Microfrontends, React, Angular)
  • Experience with ERP systems (ideally Guidewire) and CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Experience managing an enterprise architecture repository, preferably using a product (Sparx, IRIS, LeanIX, BiZZdesign, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand both short- and long-term perspectives for architectures to be implemented
  • Comfortable in written and verbal communication; recognized for strong interpersonal communication skills
